Growing Brave Studio is committed to providing creative wellbeing supports that are safe, respectful, and inclusive. This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour expected in all interactions with children, families, and the wider community.
This Code reflects the principles of the NDIS Code of Conduct, including dignity, respect, choice and control, and the right to feel safe.
Respect and dignity
Growing Brave Studio commits to:

Child safety and wellbeing
We are committed to:

Using child-led, strengths-based, and trauma-aware approaches

Responding promptly and appropriately to distress or safety concerns
Professional boundaries
Growing Brave Studio maintains clear and appropriate professional boundaries by:

Engaging with children in ways that are safe, respectful, and appropriate

Avoiding any behaviour that could be harmful, exploitative, or confusing

Ensuring all interactions are transparent and in the best interests of the child
Ethical and responsible practice

Providing services within the scope of creative wellbeing and capacity building

Clearly communicating that services are not therapy and do not replace clinical or allied health supports

Seeking support or guidance when matters fall outside scope
Privacy and confidentiality
Growing Brave Studio respects privacy by:

Only collecting and using information that is reasonably necessary

Sharing information only with consent or where required by law or safeguarding obligations
Communication and behaviour

Responding in a timely and thoughtful manner

Encouraging open and respectful communication
Zero tolerance for harm
Growing Brave Studio has zero tolerance for:

Abuse, neglect, exploitation, or discrimination

Harassment, bullying, or intimidation

Any behaviour that compromises a child’s safety, dignity, or rights
Legal and safeguarding responsibilities
We commit to:

Complying with applicable Australian laws and child safety requirements

Holding and maintaining a current Working With Children Check (WWCC)

Meeting mandatory reporting obligations where required

Acting in line with safeguarding and duty of care responsibilities

Complying with all mandatory reporting obligations, including acting as a mandated notifier where required under South Australian law.
Raising concerns
Families are encouraged to raise any concerns or questions about conduct, safety, or wellbeing.
Concerns can be raised directly with Growing Brave Studio and will be handled respectfully, promptly, and without fear of negative consequences.
