Growing Brave Studio is committed to protecting the privacy, dignity, and rights of children and families. Personal information is handled in a respectful, secure, and transparent way, consistent with the NDIS Code of Conduct and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Purpose of this Policy

This policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected when engaging with Growing Brave Studio, including enquiries, enrolment, and participation in creative wellbeing and capacity-building supports.

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary to provide safe, respectful, and appropriate supports. This may include:

  • Parent or carer name and contact details

  • Child’s first name and age

  • Information shared to support participation in sessions

  • Relevant safety or access information provided voluntarily

Sensitive information is not routinely collected. Any sensitive information is only collected where directly relevant, with informed consent, and handled with additional care.

Information may be collected when you:

  • Submit an enquiry or registration form

  • Communicate with us via email, phone, or social media

  • Provide information during intake or sessions

  • Engage in ongoing communication about supports

Where information relates to a child, it is collected with parent or carer consent.

  • Respond to enquiries and communicate with families

  • Plan and deliver creative wellbeing supports

  • Meet legal, safeguarding, and administrative requirements

In line with NDIS Safeguards expectations:

  • Consent is sought before collecting or using personal information

  • Families may withdraw consent at any time, where practical

  • Participants are treated with dignity, respect, and autonomy

  • Information is handled in a way that supports choice and control

Personal information is not shared with third parties unless:

  • Required by law

  • Necessary to prevent serious risk to health or safety

  • Consent has been provided

  • Required to meet safeguarding or reporting obligations

Code of Conduct.

Growing Brave Studio prioritises child safety and wellbeing. Personal information relating to children is handled with heightened care and confidentiality, consistent with safeguarding responsibilities and respectful practice expectations.
