Policies at a Glance
A simple overview for parents and carers

At Growing Brave Studio, children’s safety, wellbeing, and dignity are at the heart of everything we do.

Below is a plain-English summary of our key policies so families can feel informed, reassured, and confident.

Full versions of each policy are available via the links at the bottom of this page

Child Safety & Safeguarding

We are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all children.

  • Children are treated with dignity, kindness, and respect

  • Sessions are child-led, strengths-based, and pressure-free

  • Clear professional boundaries are maintained at all times

  • We prioritise calm, predictable, and inclusive environments

We meet all mandatory reporting obligations under South Australian law. If there are reasonable grounds to suspect a child may be at risk of harm, concerns are reported to the appropriate authority in line with safeguarding requirements.

Privacy & Confidentiality

We respect the privacy of children and families.

  • Only information needed to provide supports is collected

  • Personal information is handled carefully and confidentially

  • Information is not shared without consent, unless required by law

  • Parents and carers can request access to or correction of information

Code of Conduct

All supports are delivered in line with clear professional standards.

We commit to:

  • Ethical, respectful, and professional behaviour

  • Acting within the scope of creative wellbeing and capacity building

  • Clear communication with families

  • Zero tolerance for abuse, neglect, or exploitation

Services provided are creative wellbeing supports, not therapy, and do not replace clinical or allied health services.

Feedback & Complaints

We welcome feedback and take concerns seriously.

  • Parents, carers, and young people can raise concerns at any time

  • Complaints can be made verbally or in writing

  • Concerns are handled respectfully, promptly, and fairly

  • Raising a concern will never impact access to services

If families prefer, concerns can also be raised with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

Choice, Control & Respect

We support:

  • Family choice and involvement

  • Children participating at their own pace

  • Open communication and collaboration

  • Respect for neurodiversity, culture, and individuality

Families are always welcome to ask questions, seek clarification, or discuss their child’s needs.
